I've been building shooting ranges and tactical combat training facilities for three summers. That said, anyone who knows me probably wouldn't categorize me as a construction worker, handy man- or anything related thereto. I do however get a good kick out of construction workers and their personalities and I decided it was time to share some good 'ol construction sayings! I obviously won't include all of them because most are quite obscene... but these ones are clean and oft-repeated (but not by me).
1.) "It ain't gonna build itself!"
2.) "We're not building a piano!"
3.) "They're just gonna shoot at it anyway!"
4.) "Put down your purse!"
5.) "Drive it like ya own it!"
I think the last one is my favorite because it's most often directed at me. When I operate heavy machinery, it must be pretty evident that I am not the owner. I've pulled some astonishingly shameful moves on a forklift. Happily, I haven't killed anyone yet.

Best B-day Ever
This year for my Birthday, I opened more boxes and packages than for any other Birthday or Christmas I've ever had. That's because I spent twelve hours counting inventory for a shooting range I was building in Allentown, PA. Actually, I forgot it was my Birthday until my roommate, Austin, texted me at ten o'clock. At least I was getting paid.
Alright but seriously I did receive a lot of nice letters and things from my friends and family so thanks to everyone who sent me stuff. You are all awesome and I love you!

JTR
Click to hear my cover of JTR by Dave Matthews
A few days ago I was downstairs and I heard Bashu playing his bansuri flute. I thought it would be cool to record a track with a flute in it and JTR seemed like it would work.
But the real reason I wanted to do a JTR cover is because it has my favorite guitar riff EVER! It was a blast to do this with Bashu. I'm doing the vocals, playing the guitars and Bashu is getting stoked on his flute. It's a pretty hot track so have a listen.
I'm not very good at sound mastering so the final mix is a bit quiet so don't be afraid to TURN IT UP. Enjoy!

One Sweet World
ONE SWEET WORLD
^Click on this link^
My friend, Jake Burch, let me borrow his mic for a while so I'm going to record some stuff...and I finally bought an acceptable guitar. I always like doing covers because it's nice to have something to practice recording when you're not talented enough to write your own music. Maybe someday I'll figure out how to write lyrics...
This is one of my favorite Dave Matthews songs.
This is the equipment I used to record and mix it:
Logic Pro 9 software
Shure SM57 microphone
E-MU 0404 audio interface
Taylor 110e guitar
